Our center is located in La Cala de Mijas, one of the three districts that make up the town of Mijas, in the province of Málaga.
Mijas is amunicipality in Andalusia,in the province of Málaga(Spain). It is located on theCosta del Sol, 30 km southwest of theprovincial capital, and is part of theWestern Costa del Sol region, theassociation of municipalities of the same name, and thejudicial district of Fuengirola.
Half of the population of this town comes from a wide variety of places; they have found the coast to be a place where they can work and enjoy the pleasant climate and mild temperatures that prevail throughout the year.
This town is very popular with tourists, and approximately 60% of the school’s students come from abroad; while most are British, we have students from as many as 36 different countries.
Enrollment at El Chaparral School fluctuates somewhat throughout the year, as it is difficult to set a fixed enrollment deadline because students continue to enroll and withdraw throughout the school year.
Our student body consists of children aged 6 to 12, as this is a primary school only; and since it has three or four classes per grade, we have a total of approximately 540 students.
The atmosphere at the Center is positive, and the work environment and spirit of collaboration are excellent, with a faculty dedicated to their teaching and committed to continuously improving educational standards and the quality of instruction.
We offer a full range of supplementary services: early morning care, a cafeteria, transportation, and after-school activities.
We have an indoor gym, an auditorium, and a library.
